Dear Brook Farm Academy Class of 2010,
I look forward to teaching you this year. My goal is to help each of my students reach his/her highest potential this year. Please read your assignments and other class information on this blog. Any comments you make can be read by your classmates and should be signed. Please see me if you have any questions about this arrangement. I am available for extra help most days before school, after school and during Homeroom.
In order for me to measure your progress, I will give quizzes and tests on a regular basis. You will always know what to study and you will sometimes be able to use books or notebooks. You will be assigned homework on a daily basis and your grade will reflect your ability to do this. Finally, you will keep a notebook with journal entries, vocabulary words and class notes.
This is how I will determine your grade each term:
Tests/Quizzes/ Projects: 50%
Quarterly Exam: 2 Test Grades
Homework: 20%
Notebook: 20%
Class Participation: 10%
